Timeline

Since 2001, WeFly has been making flying more affordable with a primary focus on new, current aircraft. We are proud of what we have achieved and continue to grow. Here is a small selection from our company history:

  • 2023
    Since February 2023 Wefly GmbH is Blackshape Distributor

  • 2022
    The jet age dawns again! A Premier 1A goes into operation within the WeFly concept. The first DA50 in Germany, several new TecnamP2010 & an M500 in 2022.

  • 2021
    After the move is before the move. After the change of location in 2018, we are moving again to new, larger premises.

  • 2020
    WeFly is now the largest operator of DA62 aircraft - worldwide!

  • 2019
    Record year for WeFly! - There have never been so many new additions of SR22, DA42-VI, DA62 aircraft in almost 20 years of WeFly history.

  • 2018
    Move to new office space, equipping us for future expansion.

  • 2017
    The first DA62 for WeFly! Diamond whets the appetite for more. In May, the first DA62 in the WeFly concept enters service. A brand new DA40NG had already found a home in EDMA in March.

  • 2016
    The jet age dawns: The first jet, a Citation 510 enters service in the WeFly concept.

  • 2015
    Weather radar for DA42NG: The Garmin GWX weather radar is now also approved for DA42 as a retrofit. WeFly GmbH is again at the forefront. Three DA42s are retrofitted with radar at the factory.

  • 2014
    WeFly GmbH's first "Dash Six" - DA42-VI goes to EDFE, making it the company's 4th Egelsbach aircraft.

  • 2012
    EDAZ - Berlin Schönhagen is now home to another DA42NG for WeFly.

  • 2011
    In May 2011, WeFly GmbH expands further. Nuremberg becomes the location of another DA42NG.

  • 2010
    At Aero 2010, the first DA42 converted to AE300 engines in Germany is handed over to WeFly GmbH. The AE300 engine is characterized by lower fuel consumption, higher performance and ease of maintenance and replaces the factory-fitted Centurion engines.

  • 2008
    As one of the first companies in Germany WeFly receives the turbo version Cirrus SR22 GTS. WeFly SR22 is a "Signature Edition" with glass cockpit and all extras. This is one of only 50 machines built worldwide.

  • 2005
    At the AERO in Friedrichshafen the first DA42 Twinstar in Germany is handed over to WeFly by Diamond Aircraft. The DA42 is the most modern light "Twin" with two turbo-diesel engines and G1000 avionics.

  • 2003
    The first Garmin 1000 glass cockpit in Germany is used in a WeFly aircraft.
