• The Wefly concept is ideal if you want to fly an aircraft of a certain size alone or with partners.

• The Wefly concept is not suitable for club pilots, "do-it-yourselfers" and pilots whose hobby is to take care of their enthusiast aircraft themselves.

• The Wefly concept is mainly aimed at pilots who want to fly their aircraft themselves, either alone or in partnership.

• The Wefly concept is also suitable in the jet class to rent out the aircraft exclusively.

The Wefly concept offers a whole range of advantages:

• When purchasing an aircraft, VAT normally comes into play. This is not the case when buying within the Wefly concept.

• The Wefly concept offers you the possibility of tax depreciation.

• Private assets and company assets are strictly separated, the aircraft is 100% commercially usable and an individual invoice is issued by Wefly GmbH for each flight.

• Under the aspect of the Wefly concept, there is no corporate liability. Please read our blog post on corporate liability.

• It is possible to add a partner to the ownership company at any time and grant them access to the aircraft, as Wefly GmbH ensures a properly managed environment at all times.

• The Wefly concept allows you to take advantage of various economies of scale. Since we are the largest Diamond Aircraft Operator in Europe, we and therefore our customers enjoy certain advantages in the maintenance yard, aircraft insurance, hangar space, etc.

• Wefly GmbH takes care of a fuel card, approach fees and everything else around each flight that you don't have to deal with.

• Our pilots buy more than 20 years of knowhow in this special field of flying. If you have questions about technology and maintenance and all other topics around your aircraft, we will assist you with competence.

The short answer is: Theoretically, yes.

However, you will then have to take care of a lot of things yourself and this costs a lot of time. Without our know-how and contacts, the described effects are even more difficult to achieve in a reasonable period of time. Running the administration as a hobby is relatively inefficient. Also the administrative work to be done, the constant invoicing etc. is costly.

Among our clients there are usually successful managers and other people with very little private time to spend on such tasks. So with Wefly you save time and get on the plane of your dreams faster and more effectively, spending less time on unnecessary "odds and ends". Wefly is a relatively large aircraft rental company, has established companies in the drawer, so to speak, and does not do self-dealing business. At the same time, Wefly also provides a certain anonymity that our customers appreciate by sharing our concept.

As a limited partner (as sole or part owner), you acquire a corresponding share in the property and thus in the aircraft.

Nothing changes compared to a rented aircraft. You will receive a flight-related invoice for the full costs of the flight. This also includes fixed costs, depreciation and financing costs, which you can claim if you are flying for business purposes. On the other hand, a lot changes compared to owning your own aircraft if it is used privately and professionally. WeFly allows you to separate all costs, including fixed costs, by flight.

The basis of our calculations is not only the manufacturer's specifications, but is also based on practical experience with various types of aircraft. We calculate conservatively and rely on full cost transparency so that you only pay for what is actually incurred.

In contrast to the GbR (partnerships under civil law) joint ownership, joint liability on your part for the actions of other owners or pilots is largely excluded.

The insurance company's obligation to pay benefits is also better secured, since WeFly GmbH is the owner of the aircraft and the policyholder. The insurance company can possibly take recourse against an individual pilot if they can prove culpable behavior. However, it cannot refuse to indemnify WeFly GmbH and thus all part owners.

When flying in the Wefly concept, we as the operator take over the operation of the aircraft. This includes not only maintenance and repair, but also the care of the aircraft.

The owner company hands over the aircraft for rental to the operator, Wefly GmbH. Depending on the availability of the aircraft, Wefly GmbH can rent out the jet, provided the pilot has the appropriate qualifications. The lessee is entitled to operate the aircraft with a responsible pilot.
